Coode Conservation Partnership
METALWORK: Coode Conservation Partnership specialises in the conservation, restoration, repair and replication of heritage pieces in wrought iron, cast, steel and copper alloys. The team consists of experienced traditional blacksmiths specialising in conservation, an MA in metal conservation and a partner who guest tutors at West Dean College on the conservation of ironwork. The company also offers specification writing and planning consultation through to production, delivery and report writing. It has experience of successfully completing large complex projects through to making tiny one-off museum replicas. A purpose-built workshop was created specifically for conserving, cleaning and hand painting traditional metalwork and is located a stone’s throw from the company’s traditional forge. Contracts have included conservation projects for English Heritage, Historic England, Historic Royal Palaces and the National Trust through to private estates, churches, stately homes and town houses.
